View Full Version : Ube Halaya Recipe

Ingredients:
1 kilo ube, boiled and grated
2 cups coconut milk
2 cups evaporated milk
1 ¼ cups sugar
butter for greasing
Directions:
In a thick-bottomed pan, combine grated ube, coconut milk, evaporated milk and sugar.
Cook over medium fire until very thick.
Stir constantly to prevent sticking.
Mold in greased pans. Cool.

i love it too but tell you its very hard thing to do, you have to keep on stirring and stirring till you get a good consistency.

I mentioned this recipe to one of my friends. And yes, she did mention that there will A LOT of stirring.

dont want to have a hard time cooking the recipe, try Good Shepard's (baguio) ube halaya the best! but you have to line up and you can only buy 2 bottles per person.

Yup! Good Shepherd's UBE is the best I've ever tasted. But I think it's on a per-order-basis? So you have to wait for them to prepare it.

one more good thing about buying the good sheperds ube is that its helping out of shool youth in baguio.
