One of the most popular branches of bakeries in the Philippines today is Red Ribbon Bakeshop. The bakeshop has been known as one of the longest running bakeshops in the Philippines, marking its arrival in the late 1979 across the streets of Quezon City along Timog Avenue. It offers some of the best collections of authentic Philippine cakes created by some of the talented Filipino bakers. Their cakes are Mango Cream Pie, Black Forest, Rocky Road, Tiramisu Meltdown and Coffee Walnut Bavarian among others. Check their website www.redribbonbakeshop.com.ph

It's really a cheap food chain. I remember going there for lunch and it cost me a little more than a hundred bucks and it's a complete meal with a piece of cake. I especially like their palabok and spaghetti meals. I'm a sucker for Filipino-style spaghetti. :D
PS
I looooove Tiramisu Meltdown!

red ribbon is owned by jollibee. the corporate tentacles of jollibee are spreading far and wide, gobbling up every choice buys available in the corporate market, and red ribbon was just one of its many successful conquests. to be fair, jollibee's corporate governance has been nothing but exemplary and this has brought jollibee in an enviable position, thus enabling it of further expanding its business empire. even before jollibee took over red ribbon, i have always been a regular of the latter. i would have light snacks with friends at the mall or any branch we might come accross along the way. this is also where i order cakes all the time as present to family or friends, and red ribbon will never let you down. all of their cake selections are inarguably magnificent! as a bonus, service is fast and efficient. give yourself a break and pamper your appetite with its dainty offerings. need to say more? :D

I love Red Ribbon's Cakes! It's not too sweet.
Plus, since they have delivery you don't need to bother yourself to go out of the house if you want to enjoy cake. You could just call in and order. You get to order whole cakes or even just slices.

Red Ribbon has many branches that makes it convenient to visit. They serve meals (with cake!) aside from the cakes and pastries that they have become known for. They continue to innovate in terms of their cake offerings. My personal favorite is their ube cake. I've enjoyed it since I was a kid, and I always ask for it during my birthday (although there are other cakes that are much better, Conti's cakes, to name an alternative).

I also love their Black Forest. Whenever I have the time to visit big cities, I always look forward to go to the nearest Red Ribbon. I hope they will have one here in Dumaguete City.

One of my favorite cakes from Red Ribbon is their Tiramisu Meltdown. This is an absolutely wonderful cake that melts in your mouth. It is sweet without being too sweet. And it's not too chocolate-y either na nakakasawa na. Yum. :)
