I like Abe's rice in a bamboo. I actually forgot what was all inside the rice but I clearly remember there were shiitake-like mushrooms or "tenga ng daga" mushrooms inside. That rice was soft, earthy-smelling, and so delicious with the pochero, pako salad, and squid we ordered while there.

Anyway, the interiors of Abe especially the Trinoma branch are quite wonderful. I actually love the outdoor dining area more than the indoor one because of the lovely trellises. :)

I've never dined at Abe's though I always take a second glance at their restaurant while passing by because of the beautiful facade. It looks really classy.

Their specialties seem interesting and unique...I better try dining there next time I visit Trinoma.;)

The family who own Abe has turned their ancestral home in Magalang (Pampanga) into a restaurant. Menu and price are almost the same as their Serendra and Trinoma branches, it's the location that spells the difference --- country setting. A few steps from the resto is Nurture Spa.
