I could smell it from a far. Everytime I smell it my mouth becomes watery. When is the Durian season? Can we only find Durian in Davao?

I heard that the smell of Durian stays on your hands for long after eating. In order to get rid of it right away is to wash your hands inside its shell. Can anybody confirm this?

I know it's smell last long but the smell on your hand after eating I can't confirm that. I don't eat durian. I just smell it when I pass by the fruit section in the supermarket. =)

When I worked as a student assistant in college, my bosses ate one whole durian and they went gaga over it. However, it took hours before the famous smell left the air conditioned room. tsk. =)

This fruit smells. But the fruit itself is delicious. I don't know any method on how to eat this without smelling the foul odor. If you know how to like for example wash it first to remove the odor then please tell me. Thanks a bunch ^_^

Durian is a fruit that I don't think I'll ever eat again. It's too creamy and stinky for me. I am satisfied with having tasted it once but I won't repeat eating it again.

how about durian candies? I think they are more "friendly" than the actual fruit :)

I think most large groceries have em

Durian is all over Davao. Funny thing is, it was only during my visit to Singapore that I was able to taste this fruit. We were somewhat hypnotized by a group of Asians feasting on this creamy fruit. They were having the best time of their lives...:D

As long as they don't smell like the original, I'm game to tasting them.

When you eat durian the smell just gets stuck on you and would last for ages! I would relate durian to pili nut. Not the inside of the shell but the flesh after the skin. When you eat it the first time it would make you almost spit it out. But when you're used to it, it's so addictive.

Just came from davao last Monday. And yes, the smell is not tolerable but the taste is really what matters. Love it.

Some of our relatives brought durian from davao this week.
I didn't know until I smelled what seemed like gas leaking.

I don't like how it smells. I don't eat the fruit I just eat the candy.

Durians from Davao taste really good. Whenever my mom goes there to have a convention, she never fails to buy a few for the family. This fruit is smelly indeed but it is advisable to eat it when it's cold/frozen. Unfortunately, if you put it in the fridge, its odor diffuses.

Durians also come in other forms, such as candies, pastillas and even ice cream.
