have you ever tasted RAZONS HALO HALO AND PALABOK?
Razon’s is a chain of local foodshop offering merienda goodies every Kapampangan is really proud of. There are several foods listed in Razon’s menu, but just like in any other Razon branches, only 2 foods stand out in their menu: the Pancit Luglog and the legendary Razon’s Halo halo.
Halo halo is a Filipino merienda composed of shaved ice, milk, leche flan (creme brulee), sweetened fruits, beans, nata de coco, and usually topped with ice cream. A typical halo halo doesn’t just taste sweet, it is actually an eye candy with all the colors from its ingredients, with red green brown and yellow. but razons is not a part of any typical halohalo fad, it is almost white in color very plain but the taste will be remembered definitely, it has lesser ingredients but it doesnt mean that razons halo halo is inferior, well in fact it can easily beat any halo halo in the philippines.

i just posted in another thread how much I so adore Razon's halo-halo. I don't like my halo-halo with a lot of stuff in it and Razon's hit a homerun by just having my favorite halo-halo ingredients inside: sweetened saba banana, macapuno, and leche flan.
Even at P73 (roughly $1.46), I'll buy it!

I think this is Razon's secret: maybe they make the ice with milk or cream that's why it's so creamy. I like the texture of the ice as well. It's very smooth.

Yep, it's very smooth it's easy to mix. Not like the other halo-halos where the ice forms as one big glop that's hard to crush.

Razon's Halo-Halo causes a hate it or love it reaction. Its supporters love the smooth ice shavings but its detractors hate the simple ingredients.
Hate it or love it?

I am hearing all good stuffs with Razon's Halo Halo. But lately they've told me that the quality in the taste of the Halo Halo has not been as good as the old days... But it's still delicious it was just not as good as back then.

yah since the start of their franchising the new stores was not able to maintain the taste. in every branch they have a different taste.. so as a suggestion just visit the razons in pampanga.

True.. It's a love it or hate it kind of thing. My mom hates it, my friend swears by it. As for me, I hate it and I love it. Well, try it out!

Razon's palabok is truly enticing. The sauce has this taste that will make you want to eat more. I'm not really sure what it is but it tastes like 'taba ng talangka'?

Technically, the base of palabok sauce is crushed chicharon with atchuete (annatto) oil. Maybe they added shrimp head stock to get that seafood-y taste. :)

I have seen Razon's halohalo featured on TV and most people agreed that it really tastes good. I think Filipinos have put a distinctively unique flavor in every halo halo they serve.

this is one of my favorite! very different from the other halo halo wherein they put lots of fruits in there. Razon's have only few like just banana and that creamy milk mixed with fine crushed ice

I shall try this. I've heard of Razon's hundreds of times. My close friends really recommend it. They said that the recipe doesn't contain much still it's delicious.
