As much as we Filipinos love our pancit, we also love its cousin, the mami. How many of us actually grew up eating Lucky Me!, Payless, or Nissin Instant Mami? And of course, we're not just limited to the instant types. We actually have notable mamis all around the country!
So come on guys, share with us the best mami and your best mami experience!

My most favorite mami of all time is Lucky Me! Instant Mami Chicken. Really good especially with egg. :)
But that aside, I really like Ling Nam's Beef Mami. The soup was sweet and beefy, the meat was tender and really soft to chew on, and the noodles were just right and easy to slurp and bite. Yummy! I had mine when I was in Binondo and even though the place has yet to be renovated (kinda really old school), the beef mami was worth taking the trip for.

When I was a kid, my fave was Maggi Rich Mami Noodles. It's instant noodles, though. Does this count?
Isn't mami from the Chinese? But oh well, how can we not adapt? the geography and early ties with them makes it inevitable to adapt their food.

Wow, maggi rich mami noodles.... come to think of it, what happened to Tita Maggi? :)
Mami as well as pancit can both claim Chinese ancestry. However, we Filipinos really gave it our own spin. Take for example La Paz Batchoy from Iloilo. This is actually considered a mami being a wet noodle dish. And what a great mami dish it is. :)

For batchoy, which could be classified as mami, try Ted's batchoy. We frequent their branch at SM Fairview. :)

I think I got to try Ted's Batchoy before. Is that the one with the green and white signage? :) It is quite good.

I ate a Mami Chicken Noodles this morning. One of the best Filipino breakfast. And what a coincidence, my father cooked batchoy this afternoon. Though I didn't eat it.

Hi subsistence! Batchoy is really good. You should give it a try. Especially when there are chicharon bits involved. Yum yum!

I crave for beef mami during the rainy days. It's nice to have this piping hot while curled up in the sofa.

I'm not a fun of mami or any soup but when I have watched a certain movie titled "The Ramen Girl", it inspired me to eat RAMEN....

I used to be a Nissin's Ramen fan but I got hooked to Lucky Me! afterwards.
Anyway, there's just something about soupy noodles that gives comfort. Particularly now that it's raining, mami is the way to go!

Tasty Dumplings in Binondo and Greenhills offer really good mami or noodle soups.
My favorite there is the noodle soup/mami with the fried pork chop. I never thought this would be a good combination but surprisingly it was. It is best eaten with a glass of their winter melon juice (kundol juice).
Truly masarap!
If you'd like to try, the branches are in:
960 G. Masangkay St. Binondo
Banawe (02 4117932)
Greenhills (02 7442654)

Ma Mon Luk is one of the mamis I love. It's located in Quezon Avenue and the mami is great with their big siopao bola-bola.

I so love Ling Nam's Beef Brisket Noodle Soup. It's one of those hearty soups that will really get you slurping all the way. Good to note that they have updated their look already especially in the malls so you'll have a wonderful juxtaposition of a traditional meal in a modern setting.

Is the Hong Kong style noodle considered as a mami ? I always like eating in one of their stands. You can choose a variety of sauce and mix it to spicen up the flavor. Yummy.

If it has soup, then yes. :) If it's dry or just with the sauce, it's considered a pancit.
